‘Twas the Night Before…by Cirque du Soleil

According to Fandom’s Cirque du Soleil page: ‘Twas The Night Before… follows a young girl by the name of Isabella who has become jaded by the spirit of Christmas. She is brought into another world where she meets the characters from Moore’s Christmas poem who helps her get back into the holiday spirit. You can view the official trailer for the show here

Recently, I went to watch ‘Twas the Night Before…by Cirque du Soleil at the Center Theatre. The Boch Center is located in Boston’s historic Theater District. It is home to theater, classical and popular music, dance, comedy, opera, Broadway musicals, family entertainment, and more. There is a red carpet in front of the theater, and when I walked in, I checked the tickets with the employee. The inside is very beautiful, which gave me the feeling of a luxurious palace. We sat near the entrance. When the show started there were so many people still walking inside and that made me upset. I couldn’t see the show clearly because I was sitting very far away from the stage and people were still walking during the first part of the show.

Their shows included Duo Straps, Sharing the Spark, Acro Table, Hotel Cart, Roller Skate Duo, Diabolo, Aerial Lamp, and Hoop Diving. I liked how they performed and also the light was very colorful and there were also glitters to enhance the beauty of the show. The elements of the show were fantastic. Costumes, sweets like candy, deer, colorful bunnies and unicorns, white like snow, pajamas, and glitter conveyed the Christmas theme. I liked when they used some white material to make it look like snow. The performers have very cool talents, and it’s like they have very good practice with very few mistakes. I always heard people applaud every time they did something amazing. My favorite parts were when they jumped through the hoops, and they also performed backflips and brought the hoop to throw at the same time. It was very cool, amazing, and it was very high around 5 hoops. Even if they made some mistakes, they still make the show flow.

The most impressive acrobatic display was when they skated on the platform. The way they spin inside a small circle with swiftness was very dizzying, but they still performed amazingly. I liked when they blew three small balls out of their mouths even when they were on ziplines and doing acrobatics. Overall, it was a very good show and I liked it so much. There are so many parts of the show that I can’t describe them all, and you should go to see them yourself. An image pops up in my head every time I hear the music. It will be fun if you have a chance to watch it!
