The Lake Region Jazz Band attended an all day Jazz festival at UVM on March 12th where they played a set and received feedback from professional Jazz musicians including Micheal Dease, Ray Vega, and Alex Stewart. They received a quick lesson following an amazing performance of Blue Bossa, Freedom, and Out of Nowhere. Then they were able to watch other bands perform and got a masterclass from people specific to their instruments. There was also a Jam session where members of the LR band got to play some simple tunes with members of other bands from around the state and do some soloing. The day concluded with a concert that left members of the band speechless based on how good the solos were and the way they played together.
