On May 1st a majority of the OCSU music department put on a show with Dr Kathy Bullock of Berea College in Kentucky. She is a gospel historian and has done work discovering songs from pre civil war. The concert took place in the Barton Municipal building and was received by a pretty full crowd. The program was started off by the Jazz band who played some New Orleans traditional songs and then the chorus sang some of the songs that Dr Bullock had brought for them to learn. The chorus was composed of the Lake Region Chorus, select chorus and the OCSU middle school chorus. Then a few more tunes were played by the jazz band. The concert concluded with a duet by Dr Doncastor, and Dr Bullock, and a couple songs with the full chorus.
