The Canadian Liberal party has selected a new Prime Minister with a 85.9% of the vote. The new Prime Minister, Mark Carney, is the successor to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Mark Carney, a banker, ran the Bank of Canada from 2008 to 2013 and helped navigate the financial crisis of 2009. The appointment as Prime Minister comes amid a new trade war between Canada and the US.
