The Lake Region girls varsity soccer team went up against North Country in a loss that ended their winning streak, leaving LR with a 3-1 record and North Country with a 4-0 record. Lake Region went scoreless in the game with North Country taking the win with a score of 3-0. Cadence Hansen was vital in the net with16 saves in the game. The LR defense played a vital part as well with players such as Dayna Barton, Addie Schneider, Nora Demaine, Rya Gosselin, and Nell Urie pulling North Country offsides 12 times. Micha Limlaw-Sicard and Faith Before played key roles as substitutions on the wings. North Country scored two goals in the first half both by Rachel Scherzer and both assisted by Willow Clements. In the second half, Myrah Kearse scored the final goal unassisted.
