It was a back and forth match, with each team creating good chances offensively as well as key defensive plays. Brownlow made some key saves late in the 2nd half to limit Montpelier and reinvigorate the LR team. Brownlow had 7 saves overall. LRs tenacity, especially up top from Hanover, Hansen, Bowman, and Haney, created many opportunities late in the 2nd half that were vital to the outcome. LR’s three goals were scored by Avery Hansen, Madison Bowman, and Bella Hanover. Each of these three goal scorers also contributed one assist.
LR is now 7-5-1 on the season. LR plays Lamoille at home Friday 10/20- last game of the regular season and senior night game.
