Senior Solo Night

Senior+Solo+Night

This past Sunday lake region seniors and their colleagues performed at the Highland center for the arts in greensboro. This is the first time that the LR band has ever played there and is one of the best places to play in our area acoustics wise. Although the crowd was not quite what was hoped for, they made up for it with enthusiasm and many stayed for the reception afterwards that had cupcakes and other refreshments.  Seniors Wyatt Christiansen, Corbin Michaud, Orion Dolon, and Matthew Frazier were featured, and their fellow band members assisted them in the making of a wonderful concert.

A couple highlights that stood out to all who attended were the duet of the song Misty done by Orion and Matthew and then a piano solo by Orion Dolan that transported everyone in attendance to another world.

Three of the four seniors that LR is graduating this year have plans to major in music of some kind which is very fantastic for all of us that appreciate listening to, and watching performances of music. Wyatt has committed to Houghton University and will be majoring in Music performance. Orion is going to CCV for music education so that the next generation can have more teachers. Last but not least Corbin is going to CCV as a vocal major with plans to transfer to St Michaels. This senior class is certainly a strong one and bodes well for the future of music at the very least in this country.
