Maple Peach Glazed Ham
Ingredients:
- 1 fully cooked bone in ham (7-9 pounds)
- 2 cup peach preserves
- ½ cup Maple syrup
- ⅓ cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons ground ancho pepper (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees
- Place ham on a rack in a shallow roasting pan.
- Cover and bake for 1 ¾ to 2 ¼ hours. Till the thermometer reads 130 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a medium saucepan, mix preserves, syrup, and orange juice. If desired you can add Chili pepper. Then mix until blended. Remove ¾ of the mixture from the saucepan for a glaze.
- Remove Ham from the oven and brush with some of the glaze. Bake for another 20 minutes uncovered or until the thermometer reads 140 degrees. Brush occasionally with the remaining glaze.
- In a saucepan over medium heat bring the leftover preserved mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally. Cook and stir until mixture is thickened. Serve as a sauce with the ham.
