Take 5 Seared Tuna with Lime dipping sauce



  • 1 (12oz) package of frozen ahi tuna steaks 
  • 1 (8.8oz) package of whole grain brown rice 
  • 2 Green onions
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (also works with reduced sodium soy sauce)
  • 2 tbsp lime juice



  1. Grease a large pan and heat it on high. 
  2. Season the tuna with salt and pepper then add it to the pan. Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side or until it has reached the desired doneness.
  3. Cook rice through package directions. Either stovetop or microwave works well.
  4. Thinly slice the green onions.
  5. In a small bowl mix together the soy sauce, lime juice, 1 tbsp water, and the sliced green onions.
  6. Thinly slice the tuna steaks and lay them over the rice. With the sauce either drizzled on top or kept as a dip.
