Slow Cooker Lemon Chicken

1 Whole Chicken (ranging between 4 and 5 pounds)

4 Lemons

2-3 heads of garlic

Rosemary or Thyme

All-purpose steak seasoning (can be substituted with salt and pepper)
Directions:

Slice Fresh lemon and garlic and lay them in the bottom of your slow cooker.

Add fresh herbs. This can be either rosemary or thyme depending on your preferences.

When cooking a whole chicken make sure to remove any extra bits from the inside of the chicken.

Rinse chicken and pat dry using paper towels.

Add a thin layer of all purpose steak seasoning all over your chicken including the inside.

Fill your chicken’s cavity with more lemons, garlic, and herbs. Then cover the chicken with any extra lemon,and herbs.

Set the slow cooker on high and cook for 4 hours (check that chicken reaches 165°).

Once the chicken has reached 165° turn off the slow cooker. Let the chicken sit for 15 minutes.

Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and carve.

Chicken can then be served. Juices can be strained and poured over cooked chicken if so desired.
