Take 5 Wonton Soup
Ingredients:
- 8 oz ground chicken breast
- 4 green onions
- 1 (2-inch) piece of ground ginger
- ½ (12 oz) package of wonton wraps
- 1 (32 oz) container of Low- Sodium Chicken Broth
Directions
- Finely chop the green onions. Place half of the green onions in a medium bowl, add in the chicken and season with salt and pepper.
- Peel and grate the mixture. Once grated add ginger to the chicken mixture
- Put the chicken broth in a large pot and boil on medium-high heat. Stir in the remaining half of the green onion.
- Place 2 tsp filling in the center of one wonton wrap and dampen the edges with water
- Fold the dough in half diagonally pressing the edges to seal the wonton. Repeat the process with the remaining wraps.
- Carefully add wontons to boiling broth
- Reduce heat to a simmer and cook until chicken is cooked through (about 6 to 8 minutes). Then ladle soup and wontons into bowls and serve.
