Take 5 Wonton Soup



  • 8 oz ground chicken breast
  • 4 green onions
  • 1 (2-inch) piece of ground ginger
  • ½ (12 oz) package of wonton wraps
  • 1 (32 oz) container of Low- Sodium Chicken Broth



  1. Finely chop the green onions. Place half of the green onions in a medium bowl, add in the chicken and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Peel and grate the mixture. Once grated add ginger to the chicken mixture
  3. Put the chicken broth in a large pot and boil on medium-high heat. Stir in the remaining half of the green onion. 
  4. Place 2 tsp filling in the center of one wonton wrap and dampen the edges with water
  5. Fold the dough in half diagonally pressing the edges to seal the wonton. Repeat the process with the remaining wraps.
  6. Carefully add wontons to boiling broth
  7. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook until chicken is cooked through (about 6 to 8 minutes). Then ladle soup and wontons into bowls and serve.
