The 2024 elections are in, and Donald Trump has won the Electoral College with 295 votes. Trump won states including Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Florida. Kamala Harris lost by 69 electoral votes with a total of 226. Harris won many states she was expecting to win, like California, Illinois, New York , and our state, Vermont. However, she lost in many of the crucial swing states. Donald Trump also won the popular vote with 71,186,999 compared to Harris’s total of 66,256,692. Trump also won an overall majority of states in the race.
